Art Of The Title 1

Skyfall Opening Credits

This next screenshot shows the hand that was pulling Daniel Craig down in the water. The next credit shows Daniel Craig's name, this implies that he is the main character as he is the first actor shown on the credits.

this shot shows the sand on the bottom of the waterfall opening up creating a passage for James Bond to flow through. The credits tell us which character Daniel Craig will be representing in the film.

The title of the film is presented, we are also able to see the fully open passage was that we can see Daniel Craig flowing through.

We now begin to watch Daniel Craig float upwards whilst the name of second main actor is shown. Javier Bardem is the dangerous enemy of James Bond within the film of Skyfall.

This screenshots allows us to see a figure of James Bond, the body is in the shape of a shooting range target. This gives us the impression that the way he was injured was from being shot.

Naomi Harris is James Bonds right hand man during the beginning of the film. Her name comes up within the credits second, this shows her importance during the film.

Albert Finney name appears within the credits further through as he is one of the less important characters in the film of Skyfall.

Judi Dench one of the most famous actors ever and someone who is associated with the James Bond films. She plays the character M her character name appears within the credits as she plays one of the most important roles within the film. Allowing us to see her character name in the credits gives us a better idea of who she is when the film begins.

The colour of the water turns to red symbolising the blood pouring out of Daniel Craig as he has just been shot. The colour red could also be a connotation of all the bad things within James Bond's life spreading around.

a close up on Daniel Craig's eyes allows us the see the strength within him ever though he has just been seriously injured.

Within this extreme close up on his allows us to see a figure within the background.

As the camera zooms in through the middle of his eye we are able to see the figure of Javier Bardem. he plays the enemy of James Bond in the film. The fact we have seen the camera zoom in within James Bonds eye it could maybe reflect what happened to him before he died and who shot him.

This screenshot gives us a better view of Javier Bardem holding the gun giving us a clearer indication that he was the one who shot Daniel Craig.

This screenshot gives us a bit of bit of a twist as a different figure is shown holding the gun making us question which one of them actually shot James Bond.

As the credits play through towards the end figures of James Bond float towards the bottom of the screen set on fire. This just sums James Bonds problems at this present moment.

Within the final 10 seconds of the credits we see a close up of his face. We are able to see the determination within his eyes of him to get stronger.

In the final screenshot we see an extreme close up on his eye and within the eye we are able to see the name of the director of the film. This shows that he has importance within the film as he is the director.

Which thrillers are considered your personal favourite and why?

Skyfall

Skyfall immediately became one of my favourite thriller films of all time from the very beginning of the film. The opening credits immediately draw you into the film as it looks as if James Bond the main character is already dead. We soon discover that he is not in fact dead. There are many twists and plots within the film. As well as Daniel Craig one of my favourite actors from within the film is Javier Bardem, he plays the character Raoul Silva the man behind all of the acts on MI6. He brings a lot of twists within the films; he always has the audience guessing. My favourite scene from within the films Skyfall is the scene where Bond has to chase Silva down in the London Underground. This is a good scene from within a thriller film as there is so much suspension as you are unsure as to whether Bond is going to catch Silva.

The Escape Plan

Another one of my favourite thriller films of all time is The Escape Plan. Sylvester Stallone plays the main character Ray Breslin, Ray designs prisons within America then gets locked within them. His task is to make sure that the prisons that have been designed are fully escape proof. This is not until a new modern prison is designed, built by a group of ex military men the prison cannot be found by anyone. This film is incredibly thrilling, as soon as Stallone is put within the new prison it is clear that he is going to have a lot of trouble escaping. This draws the audience in as they fell like they are part of the film as we see every little step on how he escapes. He builds a close relationship with another inmate in this new prison, Arnold Schwarzenegger. They work together to eventually break out when at the end of the film we discover that the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger was the one who put Stallone in the new prison.
